Our Why

The Other Comedy Way.

We believe that access to play, humour and comedy is a human right. Our mission at The Other Comedy Company is to make life funnier through the things we create, the people we bring together and the opportunities we open for others.

We take funny—and your trust—seriously. Comedy craft comes first: strong ideas, careful development and work we're proud to put our name on. We choose projects that match our expertise and capacity, then commit the time and attention to do them properly. Your goals, budget and trust are responsibilities we take seriously.

More comedy in the places we live, learn and work. We're helping expand comedy's role in everyday life through original projects, programs and products for homes, schools and workplaces. By opening more opportunities to experience, learn and create comedy, we're putting its tools within reach of more people—for connection, creative expression and learning throughout life.

Pot-committed to inclusion. Invested in each other. Belonging means being welcomed, respected and able to contribute. We bring creatives, artists and performers together to share ideas, develop their work and support one another. Together, we turn life's frustration, awkwardness and absurdity into comedy that makes life a little better for us and the people around us.

AI can make us more productive. Comedy can make us more human. Even without a screen or a signal, we need to collaborate with people who think differently, navigate conflict and earn trust. Comedy and improv give us ways to practise those abilities: paying attention, considering another perspective, finding our timing and understanding how we come across. Those human skills deserve as much attention as our technology.
